Prayer & Pastoral Care
We hope everyone is enjoying the Summer Holidays! Our Bible Verse of the Year Esther 4:14 "...who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”

Prayer »

In 2011 our previous leader Toks and his wife left. Our prayer team had since evolved. Three times this year we have had a prayer week culminating in 24 hours of fasting and prayer. The general response from church members was an enthusiastic success. For the future we would like to have a more regular programme of prayer including monthly/fortnightly prayer sessions within member’s homes, three monthly ‘week’ of prayer, and a prayer retreat with other churches. In addition we want to be more forward planning and add prayer points to the newsletters and website.

Early Prayer»

There is a core group that meets before church on a Sunday to pray for our community, church activities, family, our youth, the sick, those who are vulnerable, lost and whatever God places in our heart.

Our 6:30am prayer group meets on a wednesday before the rat race begins. We welcome new growth to these small groups.

Open Doors »

The church as a whole followed the 49 days of prayer for the secret children, prayer resources are available from Open Doors, Saving Persecuted Christians Worldwide.

Pastoral Care and Healing »

In life we have spiritual problems, and to achieve well being healing must be holistic and include spiritual, practical and generous support. Healing is a processes where we need to get to the root of issues not just treat the symptoms. We must be prepared to accompany people on this journey and support them. As we provide this support to others we must provide for each other.

This is a small group whose purpose is to support and minister to each other. This involves ‘walking with others’ and growing spiritually as individuals.

We pray that 2017 will be a time of unity and strength for the churches in Peckham and that we will be kingdom lead in the year ahead. We ask to become a growing presence for God in Peckham and to do his will in all things.

Amen
